Xfinity Email Login: How to Sign In to Comcast.net Email

Sign in to Comcast.net email on the web or in the Xfinity app, recover a forgotten Xfinity ID, and stop an unused account being closed.

Xfinity Email — your @comcast.net address — uses your Xfinity ID and password, the same sign-in as the rest of your Xfinity account. Xfinity offers two ways in: the Xfinity Email website and the Xfinity app.

Sign in on the web

  1. Go to connect.xfinity.com.
  2. Enter your Xfinity ID and click Let’s go.
  3. Enter your password and click Sign In.
  4. Approve the sign-in: with a push notification, face or fingerprint ID, or a verification code.

Sign in with the Xfinity app

  1. Sign in to the Xfinity app.
  2. Approve the sign-in the same way — push notification, face or fingerprint ID, or a code.
  3. Select Check email.

If you haven’t set up two-step verification yet, Xfinity has a guide to setting it up in the Xfinity app.

In Outlook, Apple Mail or another app

You can also read Comcast.net email in another email program, but you have to turn on third-party access in Xfinity Email first, or the app shows an error. Xfinity itself recommends the website and warns that third-party programs can expose your Xfinity ID and password to fraud. Settings and steps: Xfinity Email server settings.

Can’t sign in?

  • Forgot your Xfinity ID? Look it up at xfinity.com/username.
  • Forgot your password? Reset it at xfinity.com/password — see resetting your Xfinity password.
  • Changed your password recently? Update it in any email app you use too.

Don’t let your account close

Xfinity requires you to sign in to Comcast.net email at least once every 24 months. Accounts that go unused longer are marked inactive, and since January 2025 inactive accounts are closed after a 90-day window of notifications. Once closed, the contents can’t be recovered.

  • Sign in through the Xfinity Email website before the 90 days run out to keep the account.
  • Want to leave instead? Export a copy of your mail at export.xfinity.com before closing it.
  • Email sent to a closed account bounces back with an “account not found” style reply.

Watch out for fake “Xfinity email support” numbers

Search results and forums are full of pages that look like Xfinity help and push a phone number. Xfinity’s own help is at xfinity.com/support, in the Xfinity app and through Xfinity Assistant. Never give your password, a verification code or remote access to your computer to someone who contacted you, or whose number you found on a page that isn’t xfinity.com.
