Verizon Email Login: Where to Sign In to verizon.net Mail

Verizon no longer runs email. Here’s where your verizon.net address signs in now — AOL Mail or Yahoo — and who helps when it doesn’t work.

If you’re looking for a Verizon email login page, there isn’t one any more. Verizon says it has retired its email service. Customers who kept their @verizon.net address now use it through AOL Mail — or, for some, Yahoo Mail.

Where to sign in

If your verizon.net mail moved to…Sign in at
AOL Mailmail.aol.com
Yahoo Mailverizon.yahoo.com

Not sure which? Most verizon.net addresses that were kept moved to AOL — Verizon offered AOL as the way to keep the address. Try AOL first.

Use the whole address as your username

Verizon’s own fix for sign-in problems on both AOL and Yahoo: enter your full verizon.net address, including @verizon.net — for example username@verizon.net — not just the part before the @.

Who helps with passwords and lockouts

Verizon says that for forgotten passwords, lockouts, usernames, settings and every other email question, you contact your email provider — not Verizon:

  • On AOL: AOL Mail help. AOL’s password recovery works for verizon.net addresses — see resetting your AOL Mail password and use your full verizon.net address.
  • On Yahoo: Yahoo’s help for Verizon Yahoo Mail.

Never moved your address?

Verizon is clear that it’s too late: customers can no longer keep a verizon.net address or move their data, and everything that wasn’t moved to AOL or another provider before December 15, 2017 has been deleted. If you can’t sign in at AOL or Yahoo with your verizon.net address, it may simply no longer exist — set up a new address instead (how to create a free email account).

Using Outlook or a phone app?

verizon.net mail on AOL needs AOL’s server settings and, in most apps, an AOL app password. See verizon.net email settings. Once you’re signed in, AOL’s features apply to your verizon.net mailbox too — for example filters and spam controls.

Watch out for fake “Verizon email support” numbers

Search results for Verizon email are full of look-alike help pages pushing phone numbers. Verizon itself says email questions now go to your email provider — AOL or Yahoo — so use their own help pages. Never give your password or a verification code to someone who contacted you.
