Windstream Email Login: How to Sign In to Webmail

Windstream’s home service is now Kinetic, and its help pages live at gokinetic.com — but your email still signs in at Windstream.net. Here’s how to get in, and how to stay in.

Sign in to Webmail

• Directly: go to webmail.windstream.net, which opens the email login screen.
• Through your Kinetic account: sign in at my.gokinetic.com, choose Other Services, then the option to view and manage your email.

Which address to type

Sign in with the complete email address you use today. Kinetic accepts either:

• your @windstream.net address, or
• your older address from before the move to Kinetic — for example @alltel.net, @ctc.net or @valornet.com.

Use it at least every 180 days

Kinetic moves an account to inactive status after 180 days without any Webmail, POP or IMAP activity — and you can’t get into it on your own after that. To restore access, chat with Go Kinetic support through the my.gokinetic.com portal. An email app that checks mail regularly counts as activity.

Mail that disappears by itself

• Messages in Trash are deleted after 60 days, without notice.
• Unread messages left in the Inbox are deleted after 365 days, without notice.
• Everything else stays until the mailbox itself is deleted.

So if an old email you never opened has vanished, that’s why. Move anything you need to keep into a folder.

Reading it on your phone or computer

You don’t have to use Webmail. Many email apps set up a Windstream.net address automatically from just your address and password; if yours doesn’t, Kinetic publishes the IMAP and SMTP settings, and recommends IMAP so every device shows the same mail. Keep attachments within 25 MB per message — that’s Kinetic’s limit for all attachments together. Details in Windstream email settings.

Can’t sign in?

• Check you’re using the full address — including the old domain if that’s still your address.

Report phishing within 24 hours

Kinetic asks you to report fraudulent email within 24 hours of receiving it. In Webmail, open the message (or tick the box next to it) and click Spam; in an email app, use its report spam or junk button.
